Equipment Technician - Good Samaritan Respiratory Therapy - Day

PRN, Varied shift (Flexile)

General Summary

Performs modified cleaning and sterilizing duties. Collects, sorts, cleans, sterilizes and stores instruments after use.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

• Cleans, distributes and/or delivers equipment to CSR for sterilization on a regular basis; does minor trouble shooting and preventive maintenance of equipment when necessary.
• Checks equipment, supplies and accessories on a regular basis.
• Obtains and returns required equipment.
• Sets up and removes equipment and supplies; ensures equipment is functioning properly and stored appropriately.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Maintains appropriate records, reports, and files as required.
• May assist with charting in the patients clinical chart, and breaking down and setting up for patient care.

Common Expectations:

• Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
• Participates in educational programs and inservice meetings.
• Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.
• Distributes supplies and equipment to units in a timely fashion.
• Maintains the cleanliness of work areas as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

• High School Diploma or GED Required

Work Experience:

• Less than 1 year Related experience. Required
