Your Role & Impact
In this vital role at the PET Seacoast Cancer Center, you will be an essential part of the cancer care journey, performing advanced diagnostic imaging procedures that guide treatment decisions and provide answers for patients and their families. Your technical expertise, attention to detail, and compassionate approach will directly contribute to our mission of delivering excellence in healthcare.
What You’ll Do:
Deliver exceptional patient care by maintaining a professional and compassionate image, building trust with patients, visitors, and colleagues in line with our Service Excellence Standards and core values.
Perform various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures utilizing radionuclides while adhering to strict radiation safety policies and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Ensure the highest quality of care by completing and documenting quality control measures for imaging, measurement, and surveying equipment.
Greet and confirm patient identification per hospital policy, verify orders, complete patient history questionnaires, explain procedures, and properly position patients while informing them of what to expect.
Perform venipuncture utilizing aseptic technique and administer appropriate radiopharmaceuticals per protocol.
Select and utilize appropriate technical factors for each procedure based on diagnosis, body habitus, and radionuclide used.
Order radiopharmaceuticals required for patient procedures and assist in maintaining departmental supply inventory.
Process completed images ensuring they are of interpretable quality and document all details of the performed procedure in the patient’s medical record.

What You Bring:
Education: Graduate of an approved school in Nuclear Medicine.
Certifications & Licenses:
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine or certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in CT or other CT certification (NMTCB, etc.).
Nuclear Medicine and CT Certification with South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association.
BLS Certification required (American Heart Association).
