Sonography Technologist Per Diem
Responsible for effective delivery of care to patient in a multi-modality setting by operating US equipment to capture appropriate images.
- Prepares patients for US exams and explains procedure to patient prior to the exam. Correlates the clinical history with the US exam to be performed.
- Follows Professional, and Departmental guidelines while performing diagnostic and accurate imaging.
Imaging includes Breast, Abdomen, OB/GYN, Renal, Endo-vaginal, Aorta, Testicular, Thyroid, non-vascular limited, and pediatric specific. - Able to access, interpret, communicate, and deliver age-appropriate care. Ability to troubleshoot equipment.
- Practice universal precautions and aseptic technique to prevent cross contamination.
- Ensure all images are properly marked and patient identification is accurate.
- Respond to individual needs of patients and family.
- Adheres to standards of care per policy and procedure manual.
- Treat fellow employees in a respectful professional manner demonstrating PRIDE values.
- Ensure open, respectful communication between peers. Maintains open communication with Manager, Assistant Manager and Business Supervisor. Provides feedback and suggestions for improvement.
- Contributes to the team and works cooperatively with peers.
- Demonstrates ability to multi-task and prioritize. Seeks pro-active solutions to address questions concerns.

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
High School diploma or GED required
Graduate of Accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
Minimum Experience:
2+ experience performing Ultrasound.
License/Certification:
ARMS Certified
BLS - current certification
Preferred:
US Breast experience/training preferred.
