Lead Respiratory Therapist (PRN/Alternating Shifts)
Within Franciscan, the Lead Respiratory Therapist monitors shift operations and staffing needs within the respiratory care services department, while also directly conducting the job duties of a Respiratory Therapist. This position provides clinical guidance, mentorship, and training to departmental staff, and works closely with management to maintain a patient-oriented environment and workflow conducive to quality patient care delivery.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- Monitor the operation of a unit and provide input to the performance of individuals through feedback and recommendations.
- Coordinate and draft coworker shift schedules, ensuring adequate staffing coverage is always available.
- Conduct community outreach programs/events, such as acting as a liaison for outreach for pulmonary/respiratory support.
- Educate patients and their caregivers about their condition and teach appropriate disease management techniques, such as breathing exercises or the use of medications or respiratory equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Required High School Diploma/GED
- Required Associate's Degree
- Required Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP)- State
- Required Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
- Required Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
- Required Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) - State Licensing Board Respiratory Care Practitioner license
