Position Summary and Qualifications:

The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for clinical experiences, including identification of clinical sites, scheduling all clinical placements, and oversight of all clearances, compliances, and onboarding requirements of students and faculty in the pre-licensure nursing programs. The coordinator will provide direct oversight of all clinical affiliates and assure that all clearance and compliance documentation is current and in compliance with affiliation agreements and is submitted within the timelines of the agreement. The coordinator will work collaboratively with the clearance and compliance staff, nursing faculty, and nursing leadership to ensure high-quality, equitable clinical and experiential learning opportunities for all students. This position reports to the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Nursing. This is a 12-month staff position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (ability to perform with or without reasonable accommodations).

  • Promotes and contributes to the enhancement of Saint Joseph’s University's high-performing learner-centered environment.

  • Collaborates with faculty and leadership to construct clinical schedules for all undergraduate nursing students to support clinical learning outcomes.

  • Serves as liaison to all clinical agencies for undergraduate nursing. This includes setting up student and faculty access accounts, reviewing attestation statements, compiling health records/clearances/confidentiality forms, communicating schedules to clinical sites, and oversees processes for badge access and special directions foreach site.

  • Collaborates with the compliance coordinator and nursing leadership to ensure clinical compliance with vital documents and clearance systems.

  • Demonstrates proficiency with the clearance and compliance management platform.

  • Monitors nursing faculty compliance with credentials, background, drug screen, and required health screenings and immunizations for each clinical site.

  • Communicates clinical needs with each clinical agency every semester, per the sites’ protocols.

  • Determines clinical site utilization for all pre-licensure programs every semester.

  • Revises and posts clinical site evaluations in all clinical courses.

  • Reviews clinical site evaluations each semester in collaboration with the Program

Director and Other Nursing Leadership:

  • Collaborates with the Program Director to prepare a master clinical schedule each semester.

  • Collaborate with the Program Director, Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Nursing, and Director of the Center for Excellence in Practice to determine faculty needs forclinical sites and simulation.

  • Maintains policies and procedures related to student clearances and education requirements specific to each clinical site.

  • Coordinates clinical orientation for faculty and students according to clinical partnerrequirements.

  • Coordinates orientation and continuing education programming for clinical practitioner educators (clinical adjunct faculty).

  • Attends meetings off campus with stakeholders and academic/clinical partners.

  • Participates in clinical site visits as directed.

  • Collaborates with Human Resources and nursing leadership in the faculty onboarding process.

  • Participates in new student orientations as directed.

  • Performs other duties, as assigned.


Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participates in faculty meetings and University committees, as appropriate.

  • Provides service to the University.

  • In collaboration with the supervisor, identifies goals in relation to professional development.

  • Reviews clearance and compliance documentation as directed.

Minimum Qualifications:
Required

  • Minimum of Bachelor of Science in Nursing, health, or education-related field

  • Two (2) years of relevant nursing, healthcare, or higher education experience

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

  • Advanced organizational skills

  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with stakeholders

  • High level proficiency with basic office technologies such as Google Suite, Excel, Adobe, and other database management.

  • Analytical skills to process and interpret data and information

Preferred

  • Prior experience with Exxat or Castle Branch

  • Prior experience with academic nursing

  • Prior experience with scheduling platforms

Pay Transparency:

The estimated pay range for this position is $72,000-$77,900 annually. Offered salary will be commensurate with work experience and educational background.
