As the Access and Bed Planning RN, you are a central resource within the Command Center and Capacity Management framework where you will apply clinical knowledge and critical thinking to coordinate patient flow across ProMedica.
You will manage emergency and non-emergency transfers, real-time bed planning and systemwide capacity optimization. You collaborate with house supervisors, EVS, facilities management and clinical leaders while you facilitate safe and efficient admissions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Graduate on an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Skills: Ability to apply clinical and operational protocols for admissions, transfers, and capacity coordination. Effective communication, collaboration, and multitasking skills within a high-volume environment. Proven accuracy in data entry and documentation. Basic computer literacy and ability to learn and navigate electronic health record and communication systems.
- Years of Experience: 2-3 years acute care clinical experience.
- License: Current Registered Nurse (RN), licensed in the State of Ohio and Michigan (if applicant does not have dual license, must acquire within three (3) months of hire).
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Graduate on an accredited school of professional nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency with electronic health record, communication, and capacity management systems. Ability to analyze and interpret operational or patient flow data to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Years of Experience: Minimum of two (2) years in an emergency department or critical care environment preferred.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
