Essential Functions:
- Coordinates the development of large, highly visible, complex education programs. Serves as an education consultant to design innovative education programs. Utilizes technology to cost-effectively enhance education. Mentors education team members on projects, programs, and conferences.
- Documents accreditation, policy, and education standards compliance for programs. Develops, monitors, and/or updates policies and procedures as needed under the direction of the Professional Conferencing Team Coordinator. Ensures information and reports are accurate and submitted in a timely manner. Maintains reporting and regulatory initiatives as assigned.
- Provides data to document the contribution of the assigned programs to Nationwide Children's Hospital’s mission and goals. Implements and tracks educational program improvements for areas of responsibility.
- Creates, administers, and audits budgets for assigned programs.
- Coordinates with content experts to increase the visibility of Nationwide Children's Hospital’s education programs. Maintains up-to-date information on the Web.
- Assists in the development of internal and external grant applications. Serves as an internal consultant on applications for external support.
- Ability to work evening and weekend hours, as well as travel, as schedule dictates.
Education Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree in education, health administration or related healthcare field, required.
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience, preferred.
Licensure Requirement:
Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy and position-specific requirements. Must pass motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications, and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.
Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office, continuing education, and conferencing software.
- Demonstrated supervisory skills to plan, direct and evaluate work of support staff.
- Data analysis and analytical thinking.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Strong organizational and project planning skills preferably in an education setting.
Experience:
- Three years of experience in education planning and/or accreditation compliance.
- Experience in policy, fiscal management, project management, and education development.
