About the Position | Te Mahi

Our Community Nursing team is rapidly expanding across all regions, with further growth planned. To support this development, we are seeking a Team Leader to join Healthvision and help us deliver high-quality, integrated services within your area of responsibility.

 

In this role, you will support the clinical lead and work collaboratively with key stakeholders and team members, and provide oversight of performance, caseload, and referral allocation within the team. This is a permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week), based in our Tauranga Office.

Ideally, you are a Registered Nurse with a minimum of five years clinical experience working in the community setting. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for teaching, mentorship, and performance management who is eager to further develop their leadership capabilities.

You’ll join an established network of Team Leads at Healthvision, operating across a variety of roles to support the Clinical Lead network and contribute to the executive group with strategic input on service improvement and delivery. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality clinical assessments, treatment plans, and care tailored to the needs of Healthvision service users.
  • Mentor, monitor and support team members under the direction of the clinical lead to ensure best practice and quality care.
  • Contribute to service improvements, training initiatives, and growth opportunities within Clinical Services.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, external partners, service users, and their families to deliver an integrated, person-centred service.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with funders, community partners, and stakeholders to support service growth.
  • Apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi: Partnership, Participation, and Protection in the way you deliver care and support.
  • Ensure accurate records, reporting, and billing are maintained in line with Healthvision’s standards and compliance requirements.
  • Actively contribute to Health & Safety, quality improvement programmes, and continuous service development.

 

The successful candidate will have: 

  • New Zealand Registration and a current practicing certificate
  • A postgraduate qualification in Nursing is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ clinical experience, ideally within a community-based environment, with sound knowledge of working under ACC contracts (District Nursing experience advantageous)
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with proven ability to oversee, support, and effectively lead a team.
  • Experience in clinical education, with confidence in delivering presentations, facilitating training.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with service users, whānau/families, and health professionals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound clinical judgement
  • A demonstrated commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including a high level of skill in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • A current Full NZ Driver’s License
  • The legal right to work permanently in New Zealand
