About the Bronson Rehabilitation Unit
Acute inpatient rehabilitation unit serving stroke, orthopedic, neurological, and complex medical patients Integrated Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy model
24-hour skilled nursing care aligned with rehabilitation goals
Interdisciplinary care planning to support safe discharge and recovery Medical oversight by a Physiatrist specializing in Rehabilitation Medicine
Position Summary
The Assistant Nurse Manager partners with the Nurse Manager to support daily operations, patient care quality, staff engagement, and efficient unit performance.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care and serve as a clinical resource and role model
Support quality improvement and patient outcome initiatives
Promote a positive work environment and assist with staff recruitment, development, and retention
Ensure a safe and efficient patient care environment through interdisciplinary collaboration
Assist with staffing plans, patient flow, and operational planning
Support budgeting and resource stewardship
Evaluate workflows, documentation, and care processes for quality and efficiency
Provide weekend and off-shift supervision in collaboration with leadership
Schedule & Location
Full-time with weekday hours (Monday through Friday).

Qualifications
Massachusetts RN license required
American Heart Association BLS/CPR required
Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience
Demonstrated leadership and management skills
